Take me out to the ball game!

The San Francisco Giants are back in the playoffs! Feels like 2010 all over again! Minus the conception of my daughter. Lol. We were lucky enough to get a couple of tickets to game 1 against the Cincinnati Reds. We lost but it is always a great time out with my husband...kid less!

I wanted to wear some orange on my eyes in honor of our favorite team. Our family is a bunch of fanatics! Wouldn't have it any other way! On my eyes I wore my trusty Urban Decay palette, my highlight is MAC Mylar, and the water line is MAC Fascinating eye kohl with orange shadow packed on top. Popped some ardell wispies on and I was ready to go! On my lips was MAC Midimauve mixed with Hue. I'm kind of obsessed with that nude at the moment!

Enjoy the snapshots of my weekend :)

When life takes over...

HI BLOGGER WORLD! It's so surreal and great to be writing here again.  There has been so much going on in our lives.  Don't worry, I've lurked often and kept up with some of you. Luckily, Instagram and Twitter is still running rampant and I've kept in touch with some of you there. I miss all you beauties keeping me up on what's hot and what's not!

Some changes that have occured in the life of Camilla:

1.  Noelan is now in preschool.
2. Camryn is walking and exhuding an extrememly sassy attitude for a one year old.
3.  My TWO YEAR anniversary just came and passed.

Eh, now that I'm listing, not much has changed at all! LOL.  I'm still a fitness freak and am officially back to my pre-preggo size.  Crossfit is my drug of choice and I've just hit my one year anniversary at my box, CrossFit San Leandro!

This was the kiddos at Costco about a week ago. Noelan says, "Mommy, take our picture! I'm hugging her!"  They make my heart melt and make me want to pull my hair out at the same time. Gotta love them!

This picture was taken on 9/8 at our gym's member appreciation night. We were also celebrating our one year!

With the lapse of time, my taste and needs for beauty products have changed dramatically.  With two kids,  my time constraint is more apparent and I need less fuss products. My face in the morning can take 5-10 mins max and these are products I have added and cannot live without:

1. MAC MatchMaster foundie.  I'm an NC42 (in the summer/fall) and I have a 5.  The coverage is amazing and it feels like I have nothing on at all. Two pumps is all I need to get medium coverage and I use MAC Mineralized concealer in NW25 to get the brightness under my eyes.  I dust on a translucent powder and I'm set!

2. Urban Decay De Slick spray.  I use this AFTER my makeup routine.  You can use it to prep, but I find that I don't like how my foundation lays on top of it. I bought this at Sephora before my trip to LA and Vegas for my anniversary and my makeup stayed like no other!  I primarily bought it to control my oil and it did that and more.  It mattified my skin right when I spray it and my makeup looks super fresh even hours later.  This is definitely a new staple in my arsenol.

3. L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes in black. This mascara is one of my favorite drugstore buys.  It really fans those lashes out without clumping due to the built in anti-clump device in the vile.  No more blotting your mascara wands with tissue!

4. MAC eyeshadow in Mylar is a go-to under brow highlight.  I was using Ricepaper but I found it a bit too sheen and yellow.  This give me a nice matte highlight without being too opaque, like Blanc Type.

5.  This hair regimen is so necessary now that I'm a blonde! As you probably noticed from my CrossFit picture, I have changed my do dramatically. It's so fun being blonde but it's so much maintenence.  Let's see how long I kepp it.  This shampoo and conditioner can be found on Sally's and Amazon.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!  It's great to be here again.

Mastering banana nut bread!

I haven't done a recipe post since my healthy bride blog! This was exciting to me because I FINALLY mastered banana bread! I've tried various recipes and ingredients and this batch was by far....the biggest hit in my household! My son and husband loved it and I even made an exrta loaf for my parent's house to enjoy.

I like to tweak recipes to benefit health and I made one alteration that I'm very proud of in this recipe.

My son's craft paper was all I had handy at the time. LOL! If you can't read the bottom, it says:

1. In a medium bowl, mix your whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinammon.

2. In a large bowl, mix the sugar, coconut oil, egg whites, mashed bananas, milk, and vanilla.

3. Then, mix in the flour mix. Slowly mix in the chocolate chips.

4. Place in your 9x5 loaf pans and bake for 50 mins at 350 degrees.

ENJOY!

Instead of canola oil, I like to use extra virgin coconut oil. It's very heart healthy and gives the bread a little more sweetness. I can't get enough of this stuff! I use it in my stirfries, spread it like butter on my toast, or anywhere butter or oil is needed. For this recipe, I used a whole cup of it.

Please let me know if you try this out!

Jumping in style!

Hey y'all! Back with a quick post. I've been super uninspired with my manis lately. Maybe it's because I have two kids and can barely find time to even brush my hair! Lol. I've been loving glitter lately and did a quick mani over the weekend with a Sally Hansen taupey grey and OPI glitter.

Also, my CrossFit speed rope needed a makeover so I glitter-fied it as well! Lol. Now, there's no question as to which rope is mine at the gym!

Weight loss update

Hi everyone! I'm back with a fitness update. I've been LITERALLY working my ass off in the gym and I'm finally seeing the results! I failed to take a before picture and my measurements. I wish I did, so that I could see what I've done. The scale hasn't moved like I should it would but my clothes are fitting pretty well and my new-found strength is impressive! I can do pushups again! WHOO HOO!

Crossfit has really changed my life for the better. Although I haven't ran in a while, my cardio and endurance level is still the same and when I do run, I can run for a long time. My legs are a lot stronger and my recovery time is a lot shorter due to all the squat movements I've been doing. I'm VERY much on my way to getting my sexy back by March for Camryn's baptism.

Here are a few pics that I've shared on Instagram:

This was a couple of months back when I did the front squat for the first time. Since this pic was taken, I've PR'd (personal record) at 53kgs or 117lbs. I started at 35 kgs in this pic.

These are the girls that I joined with, minus Julie. We're each others' biggest cheerleaders!

Sweat angels are always made at the gym! LOL. It was suprising to see my ass like this.

The left side was me on 8/2/2011 and the right was taken on 12/10/2011. My daughter was born on 7/22/2011 and since that day, I've lost a good 50 lbs. I still have a lot of work to do, but it's amazing to see how you're progressing visually.

The Christmas weekend threw me off a bit, but I'm ready and willing to get back to work! This is the WOD (workout of the day):

Time Trials: 800m Run and Push Ups: 50(30 for women) timed separately
WOD:
“Annie”
50-40-30-20-10
Double Unders
Sit Ups

Can't wait for all this jiggle to be GONE!

How to wear a scarf video..SO AMAZING!

Hey everyone! I wanted to share an amazing video my friend showed me this past weekend. Now that it's super cold and we want to keep our necks warm, we reach for our collections of scarves. Wearing them the same way can get soooo boring and this video cures that! My favorite is the waterfall! Check this short video out and let me know which you will be trying!

Beauty Resolutions

Morning everyone! Happy manic monday. This past weekend was family fun-filled because my older brother got married! I'll post pics of that in my next post. I saw this idea on another blog and thought I'd share my New Year's beauty resolutions:

I vow to:

Clean my brushes every other week.

Stop buying makeup that is dupable in my own stash.

Stop buying "wants" and only buy staples.

Only blowdry my hair when absolutely necessary.

Smile more.

Deep condition my hair once or twice a week.

Wear my retainer everyday.

Paint my nails more.

Moisturize my hands feet more.

Actually WEAR my perfumes.

Use an eye cream.

Biore strip my nose monthly.

Stop peeling skin off my lips.

Wear more accessories.

Wear high heels more.

Throw out old makeup.

Be better about putting my lashes back in the case after wearing them.

Finally make my appt for lazer hair removal on the underarms.

What are some of your resolutions?

Moving sucks, but unpacking is the worst!

Happy Monday folks! I wanted to share something that I've been struggling with as of late. ORGANIZATION! After having two kids, and accumulating a bunch of stuff through the years, I've been on the hunt for tools to keep things clean and tidy. One major area is my closet. I like to hang almost everything and my closet filled up quickly with all of my hangers. I saw a commercial for the wonder hanger and knew it would be a great solution.

I bought mine at Bed, Bath, and Beyond with 20% off coupons. I believe they came in packs of 5. They're awesome! I have about 5 times the space in my closet and I can see everything! The only downfall is that you can't really hang super heavy items on it because they will warp and stretch over time. I had a hanger of 5 blazers and they didn't hold very well. But other than that, they are perfect for those who have enough clothes to fill a walk in closet...without the walk in closet!
